BDSM ORGANIZATIONS

These are larger organizations that form the backbone of our BC BDSM community.

Cornucopia – Nanaimo. Cornucopia prides itself in providing places for people interested in BDSM to meet others of like mind in settings that are comfortable and safe.  The primary events held by the group are Play Parties and Munches.  Although kink is the common thread that brings us together, it’s the friendships that develop over time that hold us together.  Their mission is to provide a place for dissemination and exchange of BDSM information and resources, as well as a forum for on-going personal growth for Central and Northern Vancouver Island.  The focus is that of serious relationships between consenting adults in an open environment that allows frank, factual exchange in an atmosphere that offers non-judgemental, non-biased acceptance.

Epicurians – Okanagan Valley. The Epicureans are a group located in the Okanagan Valley of BC, Canada with an interest in sexuality, bondage, sadism, masochism, discipline and other alternative sexuality and sensuality. We strive to improve the BDSM experience for people by providing opportunities to discuss issues, to meet, to play and to learn, all in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.

MVK – Metro Vancouver Kink -  Greater Vancouver.  Not for profit community venue.

Rascal’s Club – Vancouver.  Geared towards the serious player with the opportunity for newcomers to the lifestyle to see and experience BDSM in all its forms.  Since 2002, Rascals Pansexual Play Parties have been held on the 3rd Saturday of each month.  Rascal’s features a fully equipped, large dungeon with 12 play stations in the main dungeon area. Four more play stations can be found on the stage where it is more intimate for those who wish to play with some privacy – over 2500 square feet of FUN! Rascals has, without doubt, the best play equipment in the city with custom designed spanking benches with stocks, suspension frames, whipping posts and tables, double crosses and A-frames. You will find Rascal’s Play Parties to have a friendly, welcoming atmosphere with a large social area and refreshment bar (Licensed). 

Sagacity – Victoria.  The largest kink-friendly pansexual alternative lifestyle organization in British Columbia.  Celebrating years of events, education, and memories. Sagacity Alternative Lifestyle Society is a place where folks who enjoy BDSM, alternative lifestyles, kink, and fetish gather to talk, laugh, socialize, share, and learn. At Sagacity, we welcome each and every individual and rejoice in sharing our experiences and friendships.

Vancouver Dungeon Monitor Team – The Vancouver Dungeon Monitor Team is a group of volunteers who are dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of ALL those who attend the events we are asked to monitor. We accomplish this by having properly trained Dungeon Monitors and First Aid attendants on staff. Our role is to remove the responsibility and concern of DM’ing, security and First Aid from the event host(s) and thereby allowing them to focus on the many other details that go towards making an event fun and enjoyable for all. The Vancouver DM Team is a fully autonomous group that, under the direction of Dungeon Monitor Coordinators, makes all safety and security arrangements and decisions independently. For each event that the Vancouver DM Team attends, the DM Coordinators and the Event organizers meet and determine the best set of “Event Rules”. Each event is different and each location has different aspects of safety to be taken into consideration. Once the “Event Rules” are agreed upon, the responsibility and the authority to enforce these rules, to the best of their ability and without influence, is passed to the Vancouver DM Team. Event Rules are not intended to censure us, but to protect our community and the events we DM. The choices we make as individuals in our private play remains our own. The Vancouver DM Team will not pass any moral judgment on actions done in private spaces. However, for the greater protection of all, we reserve the right to define the limits of “safety” at events. Monitors will exercise the greatest objectivity and discretion in applying event rules, and seek the input of either fellow Monitors or the DM Coordinator on duty.

OTHER ADULT VENUES WITH A BDSM COMPONENT

These are venues that also provide a strong role in BC BDSM community but encompass members whose interests may or may not include BDSM.

Libido Lounge – Greater Vancouver. An Adult Private Members Only Group. Membership in Libido Lounge is open to all adults 19 and over who attend a mandatory orientation session and pay a membership fee. Annual and Lifetime memberships are available. We serve the BDSM, Fetish, Sex, Polyamory, and Alternative Lifestyle Communities of British Columbia. We are alcohol and smoke free.

Sin City Fetish Night – Vancouver. This is a Fetish night held in a night club environment. There is dungeon space available. Strict dress code in effect. Alcohol is served. Large dance floors. Great eye candy. The nature of this event is that it appeals to both BDSM/kinksters as well as clubbers who enjoy dressing up.  Mixed crowd of BDSM and open minded vanilla.

PRIVATE DUNGEONS

These are smaller private dungeons and venues in BC.  Some may be open to the public or are a combination of public and private dungeons.

Dragonfly’s Den – Surrey. Private dungeon that holds some public events.

Lord Braven -  Lord Braven generously opens his private home and dungeon for play parties, educational workshops and Top Shelf, a monthly discussion group for tops, doms, masters and switches.  lord_braven@hotmail.com

Raven’s Retreat – Chilliwack. Private dungeon that holds some public events.

Elwood – Elwood is a dedicated master of body modification performance art.  He’s our local body-mod god!
