BC EVENTS CALENDAR

BC BDSM is a new resource set up for the province of BC. Our focus is on building and supporting BDSM community.  A kind of kinky collective if you will. Stay tuned for more community resources coming your way.

This collective is not meant as a replacement or competition to any existing venues in any way. It is about supporting existing venues, events and individuals while welcoming new ones! It’s about facilitating existing community and guiding how we grow and interact together.  It’s a celebration of who we are, and exploring how we can be the best community we can be.

What can WE do for YOU? Feel free to write us with your hopes, dreams and ideas and if you would like to be involved and feel you have something to contribute to community.

Update -

I have a small brainstorming session organized for this weekend to get ideas with friends on how to proceed.

My current brainstorming -

Try to get as many people, particularly community leaders, involved with wanting to come together as part of this kinky collective.

Identify community needs and goals.

Develop a framework for meeting those needs and goals.

Some ideas I currently have about what those might include… creating common social conventions, ie, etiquette/protocol. Creating more support and education for newcomers coming into the scene.  Mentorship programs, support groups, creating safe spaces for already existing groups to network and support one another. Creating safe space for new things to develop as needed. By safe space I mean not necessarily physical space but emotional space.
